Memorial of Saints Martha, Mary & Lazarus – 29th July 2023

Today, Mother Church celebrates the Feast of St Martha, sister of Mary of Bethany and Lazarus.
Martha received the Lord with hospitality into their home in Bethany, near Jerusalem. Martha diligently waited on the Lord and with expectant faith beseeched the return of her brother from the dead.
St Martha is the patron saint of sacristans, cooks, butlers, maids, dietitians and servers.
